Watercolors 24x30 2007 I was out on one of my photo shoots on a Sunday morning after a fresh six-inch snow. I was walking down an alley in DeKalb, IL and came across this sweet old lady shoveling snow before church. I had the original black and white photo for years. Color was the solution to making this painting come together. Purple, turquoise and ochre have become favorites of my palette.
