This painting was taken from an image I captured in 1981 for my college photography class. The original photo is black and white of vintage ‘L’ cars in Chicago. I wanted to see how hard I could push the nontraditional palette and color saturation. Look at the pattern of the steel structure to see the evolution from the painting A Winning Score. Strong patterns and bold colors bring life to a unique perspective.
