I wanted to try creating a completely different mood using the same technique as in Corncrib. I had this very strong silhouette of an old tree standing at the edge of a field in Michigan. I used to get up before sunrise and go for walks on the family farm. This was the feeling I was trying to capture here. I switched color palettes to feel the coolness of the morning mist. We used to look for owl pellets under these old trees, so I added the owl for the sentiment of Michigan summers.
