Watercolors 24x30 2008
I worked in downtown Chicago straight out of college. Everyday for four years I walked past the Berghoff. During Octoberfest we would walk over for the Berghoff Bock beer. It was during this time around 1984 that I captured this image. This varies from my earlier cityscapes in that I have dropped black from my color palette.
This original watercolor was auctioned at the Union League Club of Chicago’s Ball. This black tie affair supports the Union League Civic and Arts Foundation.
